If your edits in SlideSpeak revert after exporting to PowerPoint and text remains uneditable, the issue is likely missing fonts.
To fix this, install the required font in PowerPoint. Many SlideSpeak templates use Google Fonts, so find and install the specific font (e.g., Figtree) into PowerPoint, and your changes should stick! Follow these few easy steps:
Step 1: Check which font you need to install
Step 2: Go into Google Fonts and install the font to your computer. In this case, we need the Figtree font.
For MacOS
- Locate the font you just installed in your Mac
- Double click on the folder to unzip
- Click on the .ttf file, which will then open the Font Book
- Install font in the Font Book
- Open PowerPoint and you should have the font installed!
For Windows
- Locate the font you just installed in your Windows PC
- Right click the .zip folder and click ‘Extract all’ unzip the file
- Right click on the fonts you want and click Install
- Open PowerPoint and you should have the font installed!
