Can I edit the flashcards before downloading?

Import your cards into Anki to edit them. To change the card style or deck size, generate a new deck.

How many flashcards can I generate?

Up to 50 cards per deck. If your source does not hold enough distinct material for the number you asked for, you get as many strong cards as the content supports.
