Where the Varsity style comes from, and what it signals.
Varsity is the annual sports banquet deck, built around the visual language of American collegiate athletics: pennant banners, jersey numbers and school colors. The pennant row across the top of every slide, a repeating sequence of maroon, gold and navy triangles hanging from a 3px navy line, reads the context before a single word appears.
Headings are set in Archivo Black, uppercase and wide-tracked, with a layered shadow: cream first, then gold #D9A441, behind the maroon #7A2E2E fill. A diagonal gold stripe ribbon with thin maroon edges cuts across one corner. Stats render as oversized jersey-style numbers with the same shadow treatment.
