Where the Airbnb Pitch Deck style comes from, and what it signals.
The founders of Airbnb shared their 2009 seed deck years after the round, and founders have copied it ever since. What they copy is the order: problem, solution, market validation, market size, product, business model, adoption, competition, advantages and team. Each gets its own slide and a title of one or two words. This theme keeps that order and adds the coral the brand adopted later. It is an unofficial homage with no affiliation with or endorsement from Airbnb, Inc.
Slides are white #ffffff with #222222 headings, #484848 body text and #767676 captions. Coral #ff5a5f marks one thing per slide: a short rounded rule, the result of an equation, or your company's dot on a chart. The tints #ffe8e8 and #ffb3b5 fill the market circles and team avatars. Figtree sets every word, at 800 for the company name and big numbers and 400 for subtitles. Photos get 16px corners and a white pill caption, like a listing card.
