About this design

Where the Runway style comes from, and what it signals.

Runway is the clean, light pitch deck that reads as competence before a single word lands. The reference is the minimalist investor decks associated with companies like Uber, Dropbox, Facebook, Square and Buffer: warm white fields, wide margins, one confident headline per slide and a single accent doing all the emphasis. The discipline is restraint. When a founder shows only the number that matters, the room trusts that the founder knows which number matters.

The system runs on two Google Fonts. Bricolage Grotesque carries headlines at 44 to 84px in near-black #14151A, and Spline Sans Mono handles the small parts: eyebrows, slide numbers and metric captions at 10 to 12px in muted gray #8A8E99. Electric blue #2F5BFF appears once per slide and nowhere else, as a key figure, a 2px underline, or a small button-like tag. A soft blue block in #E5EBFF sits behind one element when a slide needs quiet structure. Thin 1px rules in #E7E4DE separate sections without adding weight.

This is a clean SaaS pitch deck design built for first investor meetings, seed and Series A rooms, and any moment where a deck has to look finished without looking decorated. The fictional company in the sample, Cadence, automates revenue and billing for B2B teams, which keeps the metrics and the ask concrete.

Use it for

  • Seed and Series A investor pitch decks for B2B SaaS companies
  • Founders who want a minimalist pitch deck that reads as polished, not designed
  • Teaser decks and one-pagers sent before a first meeting
  • Internal board updates where one metric leads each slide

Skip it for

  • Decks that need dense tables, multi-series charts or appendix-heavy financials on screen
  • Bold consumer or event branding that wants color, photography and high contrast

The presentation design prompt

This is the exact text that gets sent to your AI.

Create a presentation in the 'Runway' theme: a clean, minimalist pitch deck for a B2B SaaS startup, calm and confident. Background: warm off-white #FBFAF8, with a few slides on pure white #FFFFFF surface for contrast. Typography: headlines in 'Bricolage Grotesque' at 44 to 84px, weight 600 to 700, near-black #14151A, tight tracking around -0.02em; small labels, eyebrows, slide numbers and metric captions in 'Spline Sans Mono' at 10 to 12px, uppercase, letter-spaced 0.18em, muted gray #8A8E99. Both are Google Fonts. Body copy sits at 16 to 20px in #44474F. Layout: lots of white space, wide consistent margins, content aligned to a left axis, one idea per slide. Accents: reserve blue #2F5BFF for a single emphasis per slide, a key number, a 2px underline rule, or a button-like tag with #FFFFFF text. Use #E5EBFF once as a quiet block behind one element. Draw 1px rules in #E7E4DE to separate sections. Strictly avoid: a second accent color, gradients, drop shadows, photos or icons, dense bullet lists, and cramped margins.

Use this theme for my slides. Ask me what the presentation is about first, then apply the theme to every slide.

How to use this prompt

From copied text to a finished Runway deck in four moves.

  1. 01

    Copy the prompt

Use the copy button, or open it pre-filled in Claude or ChatGPT with one click from the panel on this page.

  2. 02

    Tell the AI your topic

The prompt instructs the AI to ask what your presentation is about first. A sentence or a pasted outline is enough.

  3. 03

    Generate and iterate

Ask for more slides or swap a layout. The avoid list at the end of the prompt keeps Runway on-style while the content changes.

  4. 04

Or skip straight to a deck

SlideSpeak turns your topic or document into a finished Runway presentation, exportable as PowerPoint or PDF.
