Where the Traction style comes from, and what it signals.
Traction is a metrics-first pitch deck theme. It treats your slides the way a growth team treats a dashboard: white KPI cards on a light #FAFBFC field, JetBrains Mono numbers, and plain CSS bar and line charts instead of stock art. The look borrows from the data-heavy decks in the spirit of Mixpanel, Mattermark and the growth slides Uber became known for, where the chart is the argument and the copy stays out of its way.
Archivo carries the headlines at up to 64px in near-black #111827, while JetBrains Mono takes every figure that matters: KPI values at 40 to 56px, deltas, axis labels and captions. That split is deliberate. Mono numbers read as precise and measured, which is exactly the tone a data-driven pitch deck needs. The data-green #0E9F6E and its lighter partner #5BD0A4 appear only on growth: rising bars, up-arrows, positive deltas. Neutral series sit in #111827 and #C7CDD6 so the green always means good news.
Use Traction when your traction slide is the strongest slide you have. Cards keep four KPIs legible at a glance, the bar chart shows a curve bending up, and the green deltas tell an investor where to look. The result reads credible and analytical rather than decorated.
