Where the Annual Report style comes from, and what it signals.
Companies still give the printed annual report more typographic care than any other document they publish. The cover treats the year as an image, the chief executive writes a personal letter, and a five-year summary runs left to right into the current year. This theme keeps those conventions and leaves out the glossy photo spreads that pad most report decks.
The cover sets the reporting year in DM Serif Display at about 400px in evergreen #0e4d3c, and the slide edges crop it. Charts and tables follow one rule: the current year is evergreen, or shaded mint #eef4f1 and bold in tables, and prior years are pale #a8d5c2. Headlines use DM Serif Display and everything else DM Sans with tabular numerals. Gold #c9a227 appears only as a cover keyline and the fourth chart series.

The ruled KPI rows and the five-year table show what changed, and the CEO letter slide puts a person behind the numbers.
