Where the Goldman Sachs Style style comes from, and what it signals.
Goldman Sachs Style follows the board book an investment bank sends before a deal vote: a codename on the cover, a Preliminary draft mark, and exhibits the directors will read line by line. It is an unofficial homage with no link to The Goldman Sachs Group. The colors come from the firm's published palette: GS blue #7399c6, navy #00355f and light blue #acd4f1.
It differs from our Pitch Book theme in two ways. GS blue never carries text, since it is too light to read at 12px; navy #00355f does that job, and blue fills the bars, rules and shaded cells. And every content slide opens with a five-part section tracker, so a director flipping through 40 pages can see where the argument stands. Libre Franklin, a plain American gothic, stands in for the firm's own typeface.
Use it when your deck has to support a vote. The accretion grid tells a board which terms work, the premiums chart shows whether the price is fair against precedent deals, and the timeline shows how the deal gets done.
