SlideSpeak is built for people who present in many languages. You can create a presentation in a wide range of languages and regional variants, translate an existing deck into any of them, and narrate an AI video in more than 70 languages. Whether you work with an international team or present to a local audience, you can write and present in the language your audience speaks.
How to Select Your Language
When you create a new presentation, the language button sits in the box where you describe your presentation. It shows the current language, for example "English (U.S.)".
Click it and type to search. You can type the language's English name or its own name, for example "Japanese" or "日本語". SlideSpeak then writes your outline and slides in that language.
You often don't need to choose at all. SlideSpeak detects the language you type your request in, or the language of the document you upload, and picks it for you. A short note under the button tells you which language it detected.
To use the same language every time, set it once under Account Settings → Personalization → Preferred language. See how to set your default presentation preferences.
Support for Right-to-Left (RTL) Languages
SlideSpeak supports right-to-left languages, including Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, Pashto and Sindhi. When you pick one of them, your outline is written right to left, and the text on your slides is written in that language.
After generating, give each slide a quick check of the text alignment. If you plan to download the deck as PowerPoint, check the text alignment again in PowerPoint before you present.
Translate Existing Presentations
Already have a presentation? SlideSpeak can translate the whole deck into any of the languages you can create in. It translates the text on every slide, including tables, charts and speaker notes, and keeps your design, fonts and layout. Translation costs 1 credit per slide.
There are two ways:
- In the editor: open your presentation, click Translate in the icon rail on the right, choose a language under Select Language, and click Translate. This needs a Premium, Premium Plus or Lifetime plan.
- With the Translate tool: go to app.slidespeak.co/translate and upload a PowerPoint file. This works on every plan, including Free, and you can download the translated deck on any plan.
